ATTILA LUKACS
Biography
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1962, Lukacs rose to fame in the 1980s as part of the "Young Romantics" group in Vancouver after graduating from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. In 1986, he moved to Berlin, where the city’s visceral energy and historical weight transformed his work into the massive, dark, and homoerotic masterpieces for which he is best known.
